Tené is a native of Detroit, Michigan. Tené is Manager of K-12 Outreach for the Project Management Institute (PMI) - Great Lakes Chapter. In this role, she is also Director of the Charity Co-Op: Serve Squad program. She has over 12 years of experience as a Program Manager. She holds a Masters from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in Public Policy and is a Certified IT Project Management Professional (PMP, ITIL). Her experience includes working and studying in the UK and Switzerland. She has overseen youth development programs and managed programs with the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Tené is a Mom to one daughter and is dedicated to utilizing collective impact to help youth and communities. She is inspired by the memory of her wonderful, supportive, single Mom who gave generously despite being low-income.

Haley McConnell is Director of Data and Analytics for the Charity Co-Op: Serve Squad Program. Haley oversees program evaluation metrics and advises on data gathering tools and methodologies and sources. She earned an MS in Business Analytics from the University of Michigan in 2018. Haley currently is located in Colorado and is doing marketing analytics. She transitioned to data analytics after a brief career in psychological research, and carries a passion for serving others and for her family.
Maggie is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia. She is an IT Developer with expertise in GIS, mapping, data collection, data conversion, data analysis, and field work. Maggie is a member of GISCorps and joined the Charity Co-Op team as part of our STEM training and community development initiatives. She holds a Bachelors in Information Technology and Environmental Science from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia.
Mrs. Buford has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Wayne State University and a MSW from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She was a Community-Based Initiative Scholar focusing on Community Organizing in Communities and Social Systems. She is also on track to complete a doctoral certificate in Social Work Research and Evaluation at Wayne State University.
She worked for 4 1/2 years as a Foster Care Specialist for the State of Michigan in Macomb County. She then served as the Communications and Outreach Coordinator for the CHAMPS Program at Wayne State University for almost 5 years. Currently, Mrs. Buford is the Project Director for the Bexar County Fostering Educational Success Program in San Antonio, Texas.
Serve Squad is a 501c3 nonprofit that offers Pre-College/Pre-Apprenticeship, virtual workforce and Post-secondary training, development, and internship programs 100% remotely!
The Squad interns use STEM training and cutting edge IT tools to get a head start on jobs that can pay over $125,000/year, while leading the critical effort to strengthen access to basic needs in their communities.
Youth Project Manager interns receive stipends, wraparound services, STEM training, community service credits, college financial aid, and an opportunity to earn an international PM micro credential and certification proving their mastery of the material. Interns also receive mentoring, college tours, recreational experiences, mentoring, and wraparound services!

Charity Co-Op is a cooperative of community-based programs working together to strengthen access to basic needs, i.e, the safety net, while serving as an IT PM training and work experience incubator for our Serve Squad.
